The Royal Barge

As part of our ongoing maintenance programme we are restoring the Royal Barge.

This work involves stripping off old varnish, sanding the wood and re-varnishing with five coats. The paintwork will be sanded and then re-painted.

We will be applying gold leaf to the gold bands, and all chrome/stainless steel fittings will be cleaned and polished.

The work is progressing well, and should be completed by the end of June.
