Entertainment

  1. The Second Lieutenant is the Entertainments Officer. The Chief Quartermaster is his permanent assistant in this respect. On sailing for a protracted cruise the Entertainments Officer will organise an entertainments programme in conjunction with:

    The Sports Officer
    The SRE Officer
    The Coxswain
    The POPT
  2. Details of all organised entertainment will be posted on the Entertainments Notice Board in the Sick Bay Flat.
  3. Considerable private hospitality is usually extended to Yachtsmen in ports abroad and, whenever possible, this has to be taken up in order not to cause offence. Yachtsmen who indicate that they would like to accept hospitality will then be required to go unless they find a substitute. This and the subsequent courtesy of writing a thank you letter are the direct responsibility of the individual.
  4. When a Royal Yacht Dance is to be arranged, an organising Committee will be formed under the chairmanship of the Second Lieutenant.
