Room details
There are a number of rooms available for evening events on board Britannia. These can be combined for larger numbers.
Unique to Britannia is that the essential elements of a memorable event are included in each of our evening options, such as the crested invitations, the food which is made in the Royal Galley, the flowers and the silver candelabra.

The State Drawing Room
As the first room on board Britannia that guests enter, this spacious room with a country house appearance is warm and welcoming and the perfect room to relax with a glass of Champagne. Here you will find the Welmar baby grand piano which Noel Coward, Princess Diana and Princess Margaret were all known to have enjoyed playing. This same piano is played during receptions today.
Accommodates up to 100 guests for a reception or 250 when used together with the State Dining Room.
The State Dining Room
The dining room is an elegant room with white panelled walls. Adorning the walls are gifts Her Majesty The Queen received during state visits. The atmosphere here is truly special; many influential people have dined in this room, including Sir Winston Churchill, Boris Yeltsin and Nelson Mandela.
The mahogany dining table has been designed to be flexible for a variety of table layouts. It will be dressed with silver candelabra and vases of flowers, and set with the crested menus and name cards.
Seats up to 96 guests for dinner or 250 for a reception when used together with the State Drawing Room.
The Royal Deck
The Royal Deck is the latest stunning addition to our unique event spaces on board. Traditionally, the deck would have been covered with an awning and used by the Royal Family for cocktail parties, receptions and deck games. This upper deck is now a light, airy room with floor to ceiling glass windows giving views across the Forth. The room has the flexibility for a range of different events, from product launches to dinners and dancing.
The tables in the Royal Deck can be individual ovals or rectangular, dependent on numbers. The tables are dressed in navy cloths, with glass candelabra and vases of flowers.
Seats up to 80 guests for dinner or 130 guests for a reception.
The Wardroom
The Wardroom is where Britannia’s Officers would gather for daily meals and to unwind after duty. The room contains cabinets housing the Wardroom Collection, an array of 19th and 20th century silver. It is perfect for smaller, more intimate dinners and is where our exceptional Chef’s Tasting Dinner is held.
The table is dressed with flowers, silver candelabra, crested menus and name cards.
Seats up to 16 guests for dinner.
