Visitor centre

A family outside the Visitor ventreYou’ll receive a truly warm welcome at Britannia’s Visitor Centre in Ocean Terminal before you step on board. Here you can view displays and historic photographs that detail Britannia’s fascinating past.

The original ornate binnacle, which the Royal Family would gather around for family photographs, is on display here. This was carved from a single piece of oak and is displayed alongside a recreation of the Wheelhouse so you have a taste of the Britannia experience before you even step on board.

Britannia is moored behind Ocean Terminal shopping centre and may not be visible on your approach. To reach our Visitor Centre, enter Ocean Terminal and make your way to the second floor. Click here for directions.

“I wanted to express how impressed I was at my recent visit to the Yacht. I am blind and used the audio description for VI to aid me round the ship. I was amazed at the extensive detail provided to help me navigate. This is the best audio description experience I have had. My guide dog was also warmly welcomed, which was an added bonus. I would highly recommend both the yacht and its audio facilities to any visually impaired person! Thank you!”
