Christmas at Britannia

Britannia is simply magical at Christmas and this year we've created a glittering programme of events for all our visitors to enjoy. From stunning decorations in the Royal Apartments to a Christmas tree on the Bridge, the Royal Yacht comes alive at this special time of year.*

To help you celebrate in true Royal style, we've created the following guide to the events taking place on board over the coming months. We hope you can join us!  

Music in the Royal Deck Tea Room. Fridays 22, 29 November and 6 December. 2.00pm - 3.30pm.

Our pianist will play jazz and easy listening classics as you sit back and relax in the Ruth _piano -150x 150beautiful surroundings of the Royal Deck Tea Room. Treat yourself to a glass of Britannia fizz, enjoy lunch, or tea and cake with the very best service from our waiters.

Christmas Shopping and Seasonal Tastings Day. Thursday, 28 November 2013. 10.30am-7.30pm. 25% off all items!

From gifts that dazzle to a sparkling selection of stunning Christmas decorations, we invite you to enjoy a fantastic 25% discount on all items in the Gift Shop. It's the perfect excuse for shopping, while enjoying a hot cup of mulled wine and seasonal tastings. Our team will be on hand to help you find the perfect gift, whether it's a simple stocking filler, or unique present for someone special. Find the Gift Shop on the 2nd floor of Ocean Terminal, Leith, Edinburgh, EH6 6JJ. (Excludes gift vouchers, stamps and online purchases. Christmas Weekend. Saturday, 7 December to Sunday, 8 December 2013. First admission: 10.00am. Last admission: 3.30pm.

Britannia's stunning decorations are revealed! Join in the spirit of Christmas as the State Apartments are adorned with beautiful trees and garlands, and in keeping with naval tradition, a Christmas tree is placed on the Bridge. For further Christmas cheer, visitors are invited to enjoy a complimentary winter warmer of mulled wine, served with shortbread in the Chief Petty Officers' Mess. Seasonal tastings and discounts will also be available in the Gift Shop. * Please note our Christmas decorations will be up from 2 December.
