Year round, Britannia plays host to the most exclusive private evening events in Scotland. This week, we're delighted to announce that in 2013, for one night only, we will be holding a ticketed event to give individuals and groups the chance to experience a truly memorable night aboard this truly unique five-star venue on Friday, 8 November. 'A Traditional Evening' aboard Britannia is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Royalty and world leaders. A red carpet welcome awaits, as guests are piped aboard Britannia via the Royal Brow, an entrance previously reserved for The Queen and Royal Family.
Guests will enjoy a lavish Champagne and canapé reception in the same State Drawing Room where Her Majesty The Queen once welcomed guests, while a pianist plays on the original grand piano played by Princess Diana and Noel Coward. A captivating guided tour follows, giving an insight into how the Royal Family and crew lived and worked aboard this iconic ship. Following the reception, dinner is announced, as the grand mahogany doors are opened to reveal the magnificent candlelit State Dining Room, set to perfection.
A sumptuous four-course dinner is served by Britannia's butlers, where everything, from the exquisite canapés to the artisan breads and petits fours, is meticulously prepared in the original Royal Galleys by Executive Chef, Mark Alston and his team. Using only the finest, local, seasonal ingredients, dining aboard the Royal Yacht is an unforgettable dining experience. Britannia's musicians will entertain guests throughout dinner and the evening will conclude as Her Majesty would have experienced, with a ceremony of the Beating of the Retreat.
This spectacular evening is available for £175.00 + VAT per person for 8-10 guests per table. The dress code is black tie/cocktail dress. Arrival 7.00pm and carriages at midnight.
