The October school holidays have finally arrived, and Britannia is a fantastic place to spend a day out with the family! We have created some great reasons why, as well as some tips from the local area.
Cuddly Corgi Treasure Hunt
Once again we will be holding our Cuddly Corgi Treasure Hunt on board, which is great fun for all the family. We will be hiding many of our toy corgis around the tour route, so keep a look out! At the end of your tour you will be able to pick up a free treat and enter our free draw to win a Family Hamper.
Britannia is a child-friendly attraction, so when the kids are not on the search for hidden corgis, there will be plenty of things to keep them entertained! Our self-guided audio tour also comes in a children’s version, and is included in your admission price. The route is also fully accessible for buggies and each visitor is able to apply for an annual pass.
Royal Deck Tea Room
As a part of your tour, why not visit The Royal Deck Tea Room? You can enjoy a delicious lunch, all freshly prepared and home-made, on the same deck previously used for drinks receptions or buffets by the Royal Family. We also have a number of options for the kids, including some delicious milkshakes.
Feel like continuing your day out?
We are delighted to announce that Britannia visitors can now receive 30% off at Ocean Play, a fantastic softplay centre in Ocean Terminal, right next to our Visitor Centre! Ocean Terminal also gives you access to over 70 shops, restaurants and cinema, the perfect way to wrap up a great day out during the holidays. Alternatively, if shopping catches your fancy, why not head down to the Leith Market on a Saturday at the Dock Place carpark, the newest addition by the creators of the Stockbridge Market.
We look forward to welcoming you aboard Scotland’s Best Visitor Attraction (Visit Scotland). Experience the magic of Britannia with this great new film created by Red Thistle Productions. Come see it for yourself…
