Admission times

Britannia is open every day, except Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. We suggest you allow up to 1.5 hours for your Britannia tour (2 hours during August).  Please allow longer if you wish to visit our new Royal Deck Tea Room.

If you are visiting in August, to avoid queuing to purchase tickets, we recommend you pre-book by calling 0131 555 5566.

Last admission to the Royal Deck Tea Room is normally 30 minutes after our last ticket admission time (as shown above).  Please check the last admission time to the tea room on arrival at our visitor centre.  During July, August and September last admission to the tea room is normally 4.45pm.

Temporary closure in 2012

Please note that from 1 to 31 January 2012 Britannia will be closed to the public to enable planned maintenance work to be carried out in a dry dock in Leith.
