Health, Safety & Security Manager

Hours: Part-Time (3 days per week) 
Duration: Permanent 
Pay: £16,800 (£28,000 FTE)
Reporting to: Head of Visitor Experience

The Royal Yacht Britannia is an award-winning five-star visitor attraction and exclusive events venue in Edinburgh. The 150-strong team on board is committed to the same standards of excellence that were expected when Britannia was in service. As the Health, Safety & Security Advisor you will be responsible for ensuring that Britannia complies with all relevant Health and Safety legislation, and that our safety policies and practices are adhered to. You will also be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of our security systems and procedures.

We are looking for someone who can work on their own or as part of a team; the ideal candidate will be of smart appearance, enthusiastic and an excellent communicator. They will have a can-do flexible attitude, and understand that their primary role is to help meet the needs of the business as safely and efficiently as possible.

You will have at least a National General Certificate of Occupational Health & Safety, ideally with a professional trade background, and have a good working knowledge and experience of a broad range of health, safety and security issues.

You will work any three week days including every Monday, generally 9am-5pm, although some evening and weekend work may be required subject to the needs of the business.
