Weekly Snaps
10 - 16 November
Photography has always played an important role on Britannia. While she was in service, there was always a 'Yottie' appointed, nicknamed 'Snaps', to take photographs of life on board the Royal Yacht.
In keeping with this tradition, we now have our own Photographer in Residence, Ruth Armstrong, who has been capturing our very own Weekly 'Snaps' - a collection of snapshots of life around the ship today.
You can find our weekly Maintenance snaps by clicking here.

The Britannia Bell is always a popular spot for photographs, as Diane, Visitor Assistant, takes a picture of visitors.

The Sun Lounge was HM The Queen’s favourite room on board, where she would enjoy breakfast and afternoon tea.

In the State Drawing Room, Ricky, Janitor, dusts the Welmar piano, once played by Princess Diana, Princess Margaret and Sir Noël Coward.

Mariusz, Chef de Partie, and Stephen, Executive Pastry Chef, prepare fresh bread rolls for an evening event.

A beautiful rainbow was captured from the decks of Britannia this week, looking out to the Firth of Forth.

Our Visitor Assistants are always on hand to take photographs, as Martha takes a picture of a visitor next to our bronze statue of longest serving Royal Yachtsman, Ellis 'Norrie' Norrell MVO RVM.
