Weekly Snaps
31 August - 6 September
Photography has always played an important role on Britannia. While she was in service, there was always a 'Yottie' appointed, nicknamed 'Snaps', to take photographs of life on board the Royal Yacht.
In keeping with this tradition, we now have our own Photographer in Residence, Ruth Armstrong, who has been capturing our very own Weekly 'Snaps' - a collection of snapshots of life around the ship today.

Always a popular spot for photographs, Ruairidh G., Visitor Assistant, captures a memorable moment for a family at the Britannia Bell.

Britannia is berthed in the working Port of Leith, where tug, Bugsier 3, carried out duties this week.

When in Royal service, ‘Wombat Tennis’ was a memorable game played in the Officers’ Wardroom. The soft toy wombat was thrown up into the ceiling fan and the game would commence.
