Festivities on Britannia: A Very Royal Christmas Tree!

For the first time ever, the centrepiece of Britannia’s Christmas decorations this year will be a stunning Christmas tree from Her Majesty The Queen’s private estate, Balmoral, Scottish holiday home to the Royal Family. Specially selected by The Queen’s Forestry Foreman, the 7ft Christmas tree is being gifted to Britannia to go on display in the State Drawing Room. Beautifully decorated in keeping with Royal traditions, the tree will be a lovely addition to Christmas celebrations on Britannia

During our Christmas Weekend on Saturday 2 December and Sunday 3 December visitors can enjoy complimentary mulled wine and shortbread on board whilst exploring Britannia’s five decks.

We are delighted to welcome the Edinburgh Military Wives Choir this year who will be performing merry songs in Britannia’s State Drawing Room on Sunday 3 December from 1.30pm onwards.

Throughout the festive season, from the State Apartments to below decks, the Royal Yacht is decked out with traditional Christmas decorations. And the Gift Shop is filled with Christmas presents and stocking fillers for all the family.

Our beautiful Royal Deck Tea Room, with its stunning views over the Firth of Forth, will be offering some fantastic winter warmers, including a hot toddy and hot chocolate.

Looking to entertain the kids? Clarence the corgi returns on 4 December. Come along, spot our Christmas corgis hiding around Britannia and pick-up a Corgi pin badge.
