We are looking for an Archivist to join our friendly team.
This position presents a rare opportunity to join the Best UK Attraction (Which? magazine). Britannia has developed an outstanding reputation for quality and customer experience, and this success has enabled us to expand our fleet to include our luxury floating hotel, Fingal.
Britannia is an award-winning five-star visitor attraction and exclusive evening events venue which employs more than 180 staff. The former floating palace of Her Majesty The Queen, pre-covid Britannia welcomed over 350,000 visitors a year from around the world, and hosted circa 100 exclusive evening events per annum. Britannia is owned and cared for by The Royal Yacht Britannia Trust. Britannia is part of the Core Collection of the National Register of Historic Vessels, the official register of the most important British ships in existence.
This is a new role within the company. The candidate will be responsible for collating information and creating a database that will record Britannia’s key dates, history and world tours, with the eventual outcome being an online resource for public use. They will also be responsible for collating and recording/cataloguing information, photographs and documents that have been given to the charitable trust.
Reporting to the Marketing Director you will advise on the best way forward and to create the database in Excel. Experience in this field is required.
The role requires a person that is passionate about attention to detail and delivering service excellence with a good sense of humour.
