Job Title: Human Resources Assistant/Graduate
Hours: Full Time, Mon – Fri, Office based
Duration: Permanent
Pay: £30,000 - £32,000 (dependent on experience)

What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Senior Human Resources Manager, you will be part of a close-knit team of four HR professionals, based upon Britannia, supporting a 24/7 operation with around 200 employees.

Your role will include:

  • Providing practical, day-to-day HR advice to managers across the full employee life cycle
  • Supporting on ER matters including investigations, absence and disciplinary processes
  • Opportunities to develop and review HR policies and procedures
  • Supporting with the management and development of our HR system
  • Delivering engaging internal training
  • Getting involved in organisation-wide HR projects as we continue to develop our employee experience

What you’ll Bring

  • An understanding of employment law and best practice
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • An ability to develop into a rounded HR professional and an inquiring mind

Qualifications

  • A degree in Human Resources or CIPD Level 5 or 7

Location
Ocean Terminal, Leith, Edinburgh – you must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting (essential). Please be aware that this role does not meet the requirements for a skilled worker visa.
