Centenary of The Birth of Queen Elizabeth II
2026 marks 100 years since the birth of Queen Elizabeth II. For forty-four of those years, Britannia was the monarch's residence at sea, acting as a British ambassador and a little piece of Britain travelling over one million nautical miles around the globe. The ship made its place in history with 968 state visits as well as the venue for their own holidays, a family home which Queen Elizabeth II described as 'the one place I can truly relax'.
