This August, Britannia is teaming up with a hand-picked collective of locally based suppliers to bring a fresh, easy-going energy to Cowes with a series of relaxed dining experiences and sundowner drinks gatherings at Commodores House - a standout spot perched right on the water’s edge.

Expect warm summer evenings, seasonal dishes served with a light touch, and drinks receptions with sweeping harbour views. Commodores House offers all the colour, excitement, and atmosphere of Britain’s biggest sailing celebration.

A House with Heart & Heritage

Once the workshop of legendary boat designer Uffa Fox - close friend and longtime sailing companion to Prince Philip - the House still carries the creative spirit and maritime charm of its past. Today, it’s an intimate and characterful space, perfect for unwinding after a day on the water or soaking up the energy of Cowes at its most vibrant.

By Day: A New Way to Experience Royal Sailing History

Throughout August, Commodores House will also host ‘Sailing Through Royal History’, The Royal Yacht Britannia Trust’s first touring exhibition celebrating its enduring bond with Cowes, its community and the close royal connections to Uffa Fox. Guests will have the opportunity to dine within this brand-new exhibition.
