Easter Family Fun in Edinburgh
With the holidays fast approaching, we’ve put together our list of the best things to do in Edinburgh to ensure you have a cracking Easter!
Newhailes Easter Egg Hunt
Head along to Newhailes where you can get your little grey cells working and pretend to be Hercule Poirot as you follow the trail and collect clues along the way. Solve the puzzle to win yourself a chocolate reward.
Let the little ones burn off some energy as they explore the Weehailes Adventure Playpark or take a walk through the woodland with the Old Dairy ice cream parlour awaiting if you choose a treat at the end!
Edinburgh Science Festival
Perfectly timed for the Easter holidays, the Edinburgh Science Festival has a whole brochure of activities running 9 – 24 April that will inspire all ages as they explore the world of science. With both online and in person events, there is so much to choose from. Become an archaeologist and brush away the sand to uncover dinosaurs and discover the techniques and tools scientists used to recover bones and fossils at the City Art Centre or learn how to create your own video game using an Xbox controller at the National Museum of Scotland.
Easter festivities at Conifox Adventure Park
A 20-minute drive from Edinburgh’s city centre you’ll find Conifox Adventure Park where they will hold their very own Easter Festival, new for this year, 2-24 April. In a theatrical, sensory experience (recommended for ages 3 and up) experience the journey through Hoppity Hollow where you’ll meet different characters, from Baxter Bunny to Professor Eggbert and of course, the Big Bad Wolf who is out to cause chaos! Through the magic maze, you’ll solve clues to receive your Cadbury’s chocolate egg at the Magic Shed.
All Easter tickets include access to the outdoor Adventure Park, however tickets for any indoor Activity Centre must be purchased separately.
