a bus parked outside of Ocean Terminal in Leith

Updated 30 July 2026

The Royal Yacht Britannia, berthed at Ocean Terminal in Leith, is easily reached by Lothian Buses from Edinburgh city centre. With four routes to choose from, read on to discover which bus to take and where to catch it from.

Due to a road closure on Ocean Drive, buses 10, 34 and 35 will not stop directly outside Ocean Terminal. Until further notice, they will be diverted via Lindsay Road and will terminate and start their journeys on Melrose Drive, outside Capital Cruising, just a short walk from the entrance to Ocean Terminal (0.2 miles). Please check the Lothian Buses website for further updates.

Bus No.10

On George Street, which runs parallel to Princes Street, find bus stop GF, located outside Abercrombie & Fitch. Take the No. 10 bus to Ocean Terminal, which is the final stop.

Bus No.16

Directly opposite the entrance to Waverley Station and outside the Apple Store, you will find bus stop PM, where you can board the No. 16 bus. Get off on Commercial Street and make your way down Ocean Drive; Ocean Terminal is just a five-minute walk away.

Bus No.34

The No. 34 bus can be found at bus stop PK, outside Marks & Spencer on Princes Street, opposite the Scott Monument. Stay on the bus until the final stop, Ocean Terminal.

Bus No.35
