Photography has always played an important role on Britannia. While she was in service, there was always a 'Yottie' appointed, nicknamed 'Snaps', to take photographs of life on board the Royal Yacht.
In keeping with this tradition, we now have our own Photographer in Residence, who has been capturing our very own Weekly 'Snaps' - a collection of snapshots of life around the ship today.
This week we look back over the past year on board Britannia, sharing highlights from 2023.

This year, The Royal Yacht Britannia became Tripadvisor’s No.1 UK Visitor Attraction for a second time.

During a week in May, over 50 Yotties returned to the Royal Yacht and their former duties on board.
The Yotties enjoy sharing memories of their time working on Britannia with visitors during Yotties' Week.
Fingal was awarded AA Hotel of the Year Scotland in September.
The Bridge at Fingal has provided a unique space for private dining throughout the year for many special celebrations and meetings.
On the Fingal quayside the wildflower meadow, created in collaboration with the Water of Leith Conservation Trust and the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, has provided ingredients for use in dishes and cocktails served in The Lighthouse Restaurant & Bar.
In 2023, Fingal launched its own gin, partnering with the local Leith Lind & Lime Distillery.
