Weekly Snaps
30 June 2023
Photography has always played an important role on Britannia. While she was in service, there was always a 'Yottie' appointed, nicknamed 'Snaps', to take photographs of life on board the Royal Yacht.
In keeping with this tradition, we now have our own Photographer in Residence, who has been capturing our very own Weekly 'Snaps' - a collection of snapshots of life around the ship today.

Our onboard confectioner, Poppy, was thrilled to receive a letter from Buckingham Palace thanking her for the gift of a box of fudge sent to The King on the occasion of His Majesty's Coronation.
Vibrant poppies on the quayside contribute to local biodiversity, providing pollen and nectar resources for insects. We have joined with the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and the Water of Leith Conservation Trust to plant a range of native Scottish wildflowers.
